Great Feature!! I used this feature because I was offered a $5 bonus with my first $100 upload & it worked perfectly!! Within minutes, I had $105 in my account…Thanks amazon!!If you’re unsure what this feature is, It’s basically buying an amazon gift card….After you add money to your account, when you go to pay for items in your cart, you’ll be prompted to either use your gift card balance, or pay using another method…which is nice because you’re not forced to use this first, or as a payment method every time…(great for accounts with multiple people)!! I think this is also a great feature because, at least for me, it helps me to control & easily keep track of what I spend so I don’t go too crazy, especially around the holidays!! Would recommend trying this!!
Happy to have extra $5.00 in my gift card balance. As I was making a purchase thru Amazon, I was offered additional $5.00 to my gift card if I placed an order for $100.00 to my gift card balance and my remaining balance owed would be $107.00 on an item costing $112.00. I had never done this and was not aware of how it worked. I followed the blue links to read about it because I wanted to use all of my remaining gift card balance to make my purchase, not just the $5.00 being offered. I read the reviews. One review stated you can only use your gift card balance to make purchases. Another stated they never received their additional $5.00 credit after reloading their gift card. I went ahead and reloaded $100.00 on my gift card, and immediately received email that $100.00 was added to my gift card balance. I was expecting it to say $105.00 was being added. I went ahead and purchased my $112.00 item in full with my gift card balance and immediately received email notice that my additional $5.00 credit had been applied to my gift…
Purchasing a git card went wrong. I had no intention to reload an old gift card. I received an Amazon gift card for my birthday in June and used it quickly. Once I used it I threw it away. I logged onto Amazon to buy a gift card for my brother for his birthday and somehow reloaded the balance on my old gift card. I don’t have the number and customer service was of no help and now I have a gift card without a number I can’t use. Purchasing a gift card for my brother was not easy. I have a $30 gift card I can’t use now. Isn’t there a way Amazon can help me out?
